i also use a glucose meter, illustrated is one of my morning readings. Normal range is about 5 to 7mmol/l.
It is NOT because I am DIABETIC beit type 2 or DIABETIC. It is because I have had the usual hype with with those who wanted to put me on METFORMIN.. till I did some research and discovered some home truths including those who profit from drug companies who want to give those who prescribe ‘kick backs’ for roping the suckers in.. The person selling the hype I suspect working for the drug company et of course omitted the fact that you can change your ‘insulin resistance’ by simply changing your diet and other simple factors. Plenty re that on YouTube etc You just have to do your research and stick to the plan..
One of the biggest cons is the Glucose flash test taken by those who want you to think you are type 2 or Diabetic.. take your blood sugar after you’ve just had a good wholesome meal and watch it spike a good 20mmol.l
I do the FIRST morning test as an indicator as to how my blood sugar is.. A good few hours since last food et was ingested AND if I am awake I maintain my fluid iplane old water intake. Hence the reading you see here is atypical..
*Oh my goodness.. we need to put you on some ,,” NOW I need to make it CLEAR.. some people are TYPE 2 and INSULIN RESISTANT.. GO look up what that is all about.. WHAT they seldom tell you IS that it IS possible to reset that so your insulin etc behaves as it should. You can also end up as a DIABETIC if you choose to ignore the early warning signs.. even if previously you were NOT.
Those who choose to eat the wrong foods or gorge constantly and KNOW they are at risk.. well we won’t go into the statistics on the numbers of those.
