Travel when being ‘disabled’ ?

This is in reference to the UK:

I decided to apply for a ‘DISABLED PERSONS RAIL CARD’ :

This is shocking on so many levels re their listed ‘criteria’ for acquiring such a pass.

If you are disabled or have a progressive medical condition you are eligible for the Disabled Persons Railcard if you:

    receive Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Adult Disability Payment (ADP)
    receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Child Disability Payment (CDP) at either:
        the higher or lower rate for the mobility component, or
        the higher or middle rate for the care component
    have a visual impairment
    have a hearing impairment
    have epilepsy
    receive Attendance Allowance, Severe Disablement Allowance or Pension Age Disability Payment (PADP)
    receive War Pensioner's Mobility Supplement
    receive War or Service Disablement Pension for 80% or more disability
    buy or lease a vehicle through the Motability scheme

IF you are GENUINELY DISABLED and none of the above (even just for the moment); apply to you?
Where one might ask is the ‘other option’ that you can tick and submit documentation PROOF et to back up your application??

This is outrageous and borderline DISCRIMINATION. Why would someone who is GENUINELY disabled have the vexation and frustration of applying for the pass only to discover their ‘criteria’ does not apply?? YET they are GENUINELY DISABLED??

I’m currently waiting on an explanation from them and it had better be a real good one which is NOT going to happen. It can’t because IT IS discriminatory, it states what their ‘criteria’ is and gives the impression that those are the only qualifiers for someone who is GENUINELY DISABLED?? to get the rail pass.

OK if you talk to the contact team etc I suspect you would be able to get the pass et AFTER submitting evidence etc to back up your claim BUT why should someone who is GENUINELY DISABLED have to go through all of that when all they needed on the site was an ‘other’ option for those who are GENUINELY DISABLED to upload their documentation / proof just like others listed as qualifying and pay for their pass??

Things like this really rattle my cage. I have enough issues to contend with without sites like this creating issues that should NOT be there.
I WILL keep an update on this scheduled to show just how they respond.
