Medications / treatments SEPTEMBER 2023

Monday 11th SEPTEMBER 2023

I now have confirmation that according to the results from the’punch biopsy’ there is no ‘malignancy’ re the sample.Do I agree with that assessment?

The ‘scab’ like ‘lesion’ after over 5 MONTHS remains and is NOT going away despite as of 25th Sept 2023, the cream used as prescribed; IT remains.
    That is NOT NORMAL
. The area suffers from 30-40% loss of sensitivity ie NEURALGIA, COLDNESS and CONTINUING DISCOMFORT.

NO. Why? Read on!

To those re GP, practicioners, Dermatology etc !
This skin type scab appeared several MONTHS ago and started off the size of a 10p piece, it then gradually over the following weeks shrunk to what it is now albeit two pieces after the ‘punch biopsy’ AND has remained virtually the same re discomfort, area numbness, pain and VERY hard alnost scab like. It has almost certainly subcutaneously affected NOT only where the ‘core’ of it is but to the areas to the RIGHT of it. Subcutaneously AND also muscular damage ie Gluteus maximus etc muscle damage.
Ideally that ‘scab; like area where the ‘punch biopsy; was performed should have been surgically removed in entirety. FACT. It being left and NOT removed, it being decided instead to treat it ‘topically’ with the Dermovate cream is NOT going to cure the undelying issues it created in its wake. FACT.
The NOT excising that scab et area will I suspect be a proven mistake.

OK, the treatment prescribed is using

DERMOVATE cream. 30g. Clobetsosol Propionate 1g=0.5g Clobetsosol

May Treat: Eczema · Dermatitis
Alternate Brand Names: Clarelux, ClobaDerm, Etrivex
Type of medicine: A very potent topical corticosteroid.

OK my ‘lesion’ is NOT ECZEMA or DERMATITIS. I want to make that VERY clear.

What is currently presccibed / under review !

I NEVER take new meds on a FRIDAY or WEEKEND. In the event of an emergency I am seriously limited re response to any issues of that nature other than ie A and E (Accident and emergeny -UK) NO!!! Readers will already KNOW and likewise my GP, the consultants and et that the A and E department is a NO! (Unless I am dying, I am dead! )

I am also MORE than aware of the issues I currently have, including all of the side effects, the remedial solutions and the RISKS I am already taking.. BEFORE I throw in other meds/ treatments ?? Thus I review and consider CAREFULLY whether I want to take on the added possible complications?? I’m NOT adverse to saying NO.

For those taking the advised treatments / medications who don;t have the other issues that I have with an increased risk and ?! If I end up with serious complications ?? I know all too well how that can end.. (well you can always end up getting rushed to the A & E dept)
Uhh NO.

The following are what are proposed given my issues re BLOOD PRESSURE, the ‘armpits and their problems’ ?!
I’ve already used the SALINE wash to clean the armpit areas and that has produced some good results. DO I want to put on the cream ?? Given the nasty side effects??

Clobetasone cream

Contains cetostearyl alcohol and chlorocresol, which may cause local skin reactions or allergic reactions. Some people get a burning or stinging feeling for a few minutes when they put clobetasone cream or ointment on their skin. This usually stops after you've been using it for a few days.

Stop using Clobetasone and tell your doctor NOW ! if:

Your skin becomes swollen or red (this may be less obvious on brown or black skin), you get white patches on your skin or yellow fluid is weeping from your skin - these could be signs of a new skin infection or an existing one getting worse
you are using clobetasone for psoriasis and you get raised bumps filled with pus (pustules) under the skin - you have vomiting, muscle weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss, you feel dizzy, faint or very tired, or your mood changes – these can be signs of adrenal gland problems -you feel confused, sleepy, more thirsty or more hungry than usual, you pee more often, have hot flushes or your breath smells of fruit ! these can be signs of high blood sugar you have any new problems with your eyesight.

Oxycycline caps 100mgs  (Anti biotic)

two : 1st dose then 1 each day until finished.

(Less likely to feel sick if you have it with food.)
It's important to take doxycycline while you're in an upright position. You can be sitting, standing or walking. This will stop the medicine irritating your food pipe or stomach. Avoid lying down for at least 30 minutes after taking doxycycline. Protect your skin from sunlight ...

Doxazosin 2mgs Anti hypertensive treatment -

Prescribed 4 tabs take  1 per day
You usually take doxazosin once a day. You can take it in the morning or evening, but it's best to take it at the same time every day.
The main side effects of doxazosin are headaches, swollen feet, ankles or fingers, needing to pee suddenly or more often, or pain in your lower stomach (abdomen).

What do I currently have?? Headaches, swollen feet, ankles, hands/ fingers !!

Doxazosin can make you feel dizzy, or like you or everything around you is spinning (vertigo). If you feel dizzy, do not drive a car, ride a bike or use tools or machinery until you feel OK again.  Uhh.. my mobility is already compromised.  I will now have to be even more careful AND restricted ??

These common side effects
of doxazosin happen in more than 1 in 100 people. They're usually mild and only last a short time. There are things you can do to help cope with them:
